So I know what you're thinking... What does a Museum Rat like myself do all day?
Well...
Well...
I'm going to let you in on that secret as I give you a behind the scenes look at a day in the life of a Museum Rat!
(Each step corresponds to a picture below in the slideshow!)
Step One;
I start my day bright and early and wait for the team to come through the doors and get the museum ready for our visitors.
Step Two;
With some help from everyone we get the museum ready to go for the day! This means setting up the shop and the till area, cleaning throughout and occasionally some maintenance!
Step Three;
When the museum is good to go we then get our kettle on, open up the laptop and work out a plan of action for us all for the day!
Step Four;
When it get's to 10AM we are then chomping at the bit to get the gates open and let our lovely visitors in!
Step Five;
Throughout the day we check on our exhibits and make sure everything is working as it should and sometimes we have to make sure that they are behaving themselves!
Step Six;
We occasionally have to check on our Stars Behind Bars to make sure they aren't making funny faces at the visitors!
Step Seven;
I am known to be a caring rat and because of this I can get very worried - this man often worries me!
Step Eight;
I sometimes like to sit in the cinema and watch the Voices of Death film but I can't last longer than 3 minutes in there - it gives me the heebie jeebie's!
Step Nine;
My old mate Cockerel keeps an eye on things in the museum when I'm helping the team with something else, so it's always nice to have a catch up every now and then especially at the end of a long day!
Step Ten;
And relax. The museums all closed up for the day, all our lovely visitors have headed home for the day and now it's time for all the team at the museum to part ways and get some rest for the night!
